CPTA Competition requires all participants to perform a total of 2 pieces. Choose two pieces that fully show your musicality and technique. Solo by memory / ensemble with score is allowed. The age cutoff date is 31 May.

VIOLIN
Violin Part’s age group is same as piano part’s.
Solo Part (with memorization): 1-2 free chosen pieces (total duration 2-5 min.) to perform violin solo or with piano accompaniment
Ensemble Part (with score OK): 1-2 free chosen pieces with any instruments (total duration 3-6 min.) to perform
Duo, trio, quartet, quintet, etc. less than 20 players
Assessment criteria
The competition will be assessed in three categories:

Fundamentals (postures, fingering, etc.)

Technique (accuracy, pedaling, etc.)
-
Performance (interpretation, memorization, etc.)
These assessments target students to develop fundamental piano technics and musical outcomes.
